Canadian time trial champion Matthew Ney (Team Canada) has held onto the Brown Jersey as overall race leader of Tour de l'Abitibi after Stage 6 on Saturday. The 115.9 kilometre stage began and finished in Amos. Alejandro Che of Team USA finished on the stage, sponsored by Centre de services scolaire Harricana. He edged out the Japanese
rider, Ren Mochizuki, with Ney claiming the third spot on the podium.

In the general classification, Alejandro Che won the blue jersey, taking over from Jonathan Hinse (Team Canada), who finished with the main bunch, 41 seconds down on the leading nine rider breakaway. In addition to the Brown Jersey, Ney has taken on the Orange (Points) Jersey. Alexis Bouchard (Team Canada) held onto his polka dots jersey. Hinse also drops out of the top-3 on the General Classification, falling to sixth as Paul Picard (France) moves up to third, 57 seconds behind Ney. Ethan Powell (Team Canada), winner of Stage 1, remains second overall, 13 seconds behind his team mate Ney. Team Canada continues to lead the Team Classification.

The 2023 edition of Tour de l'Abitibi concludes with Stage 7 on Sunday, a 120.5 kilometre race between La Sarre and Amos. The start will be at 2:00 PM in front of the Nicol Auto arena in La Sarre, and the arrival is scheduled around 4:45 PM at Parc de la Cathédrale in Amos.
